Obama’s Detention Camps For Dissenters?
Representative Alcee Hastings (D, Fla.) introduced this bill:
“To direct the Secretary of Homeland Security to establish national emergency centers on military installations.”
The bill:
“Directs the Secretary of Homeland Security to establish at least six national emergency centers on military installations to use existing infrastructure to provide: (1) temporary housing, medical, and humanitarian assistance to individuals and families dislocated due to an emergency or major disaster; and (2) centralized locations for the training of first responders and the coordination of preparedness, response, and recovery efforts.”
The bill further states:
“Secretary to designate closed military installations as sites whenever possible and to designate portions of existing military installations as centers otherwise.”
Strange though, you would think with such lofty intentions as ” humanitarian assistance to individuals and families dislocated…” the bills sponsor would be running to claim credit for such a “caring” bill. Look, you will find no mention of the bill on either of his websites. Could it be that the real intentions of the sponsor is to establish detention centers, on military bases, just in case they anticipate some unrest given the rapid moves towards Socialism the Obama Administration is forcing upon the nation?
Hastings is an early Obama supporter and was formerly a Federal Judge, impeached for “corruption” and removed from his judgeship on a vote of 99-1 in a Democratically controlled senate (1988). More telling, the Articles of Impeachment returned against him by the House Judiciary Committee and approved by the House on a vote of 413-3 were written by Representative John Conyers (D-MI) and a seeming kindred spirit to Hastings on all things political. He had to concede in a speech on the floor of the House that the evidence pointed towards Hastings guilt. Unfortunately for the rest of us, the voters in his District took pity on him for getting caught in his corruption and have voted him to continuing victory for the last 16 years. Maybe now he is getting even.
Most sinister of all is this line from the bill:
“(4) to meet other appropriate needs, as determined by the Secretary of Homeland Security.”
