I Am A Republican
I am a Republican because I believe that freedom and personal responsibility increase the bounties that derive from equal opportunity and far outway the bounty from equality apportioned by government. The human spirit reaches it’s highest potential when unfettered by government intrusion in the ability of people to manage their own affairs as individuals and local communities.
I am a Republican because men and women are free and they only extend to government those rights they deem necessary for the management of the social fabric. All rights flow through the individual to the government, not through the government to the individual.
It is a concept that only oppressed men could eventually reveal the truth of, as did Jefferson, Franklin, Washington, Adams, Hamilton and all the brilliant and brave men who brought forth this great nation. Their oppression, borne over hundreds of years of monarchical rule, set free the seeds of the inherent freedom of the human soul that propelled the United States to be the land of freedom, opportunity and prosperity it became over its brief history, far to the exclusion of any other on earth.
I am a Republican because free men, truly free men can accept no other condition! I am a Republican because the GOP is founded on the very principles, of freedom and small government laid down by men such as Jefferson, Adams, Washington, Lincoln, Reagan and other great men that believed that freedom flowed from the individual, not the state.
I am a Republican, because I will not enslave my daughter to a budget that promises a poorer future for her, her daughter and her daughter. I am a Republican for the sake of our future.
